Savory Noatmeals

Savory Noatmeals

Your Noatmeals doesn't always have to be sweet.  Some days a warm, savory bowl of Noatmeals is what you'll be looking for.  We simmer our unsweetened Naked Noatmeals in broth and top it with sautéed mushrooms and a poached egg. Then we drizzled a bit of soy sauce and chili oil to give it a kick.  This hardy meal is can be eaten for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

INGREDIENTS:

1 packet - Naked Noats (unsweetened)
1 cup - Chicken or Veggie broth
1 tsp - Minced Ginger
½ cup - Sauteed mushrooms
1 - Poached egg
Drizzle - Soy sauce
Drizzle - Chili oil

Garnished with some green onions + sesame seeds or sesame oil

DIRECTIONS:

In a sauce pan, combine Naked Noats with 1 cup of chicken or vegetable broth and ginger.  Bring to a simmer until thickened to your liking.  Stir occasionally to prevent Noatmeals from sticking to pan. Pour into bowl.  Top with sautéed mushrooms and poached egg.  Drizzle with a dash of soy sauce and chili oil.  Garnish with green onions and a sprinkling of sesame seed.  Enjoy!

  • What a great idea, doing something not sweet with it. I’m inspired to work out a miso version of this.
